Project summary
The aim of the programme is to promote the integration of the Roma population of Székelyhíd, including by improving the quality of these opportunities, notably by increasing Roma integration and combating any form of discrimination.
For this reason, the objective of the project is to increase access and participation in education for Roma children in a more attractive learning process to improve health services, and to support the fight against any discrimination against Roma integration in society.
Within the project, two mandatory target groups are targeted – Roma children (425 children between the age of 3 and 15) professionals participant in the education of Roma minorities (20 teachers);
and two other optional target groups – members of the majority population (500 persons) and persons in the field of education, health and social care, including young peoples working with Roma ethnicity (12 persons).
The activities are: educational activities (installation of 5 SMART laboratories to facilitate the use of the LEGO learning method and organisation of innovative educational activities using this method) the installation of a medical office and a dental practice within an educational establishment for the purpose of health services; training of trainers in the topic of fight against discrimination (accredited teaching training provided by the Érhangja Association); organisation of an awareness-raising campaign targeting the majority of the population of Székelyhíd city.
